I don't think she was trying to discourage anyone from doing what's best for their kids. I think she was just trying to say, try not to get pregnant in the first place. Lol. I had my son in my senior year, had to go back to high school for a few months the next year but i did it. I am 25 now, just got my driver's license and a car and I have 2 boys, ages 6 and 2. The 2 year old is actually my nephew that i took custody of as a baby because my sister is a drug addict. I have had the same job for the past 5 years, had my apt. for the past 3 and just got my car a month ago. All with no help. I am really proud of myself, BUT I must say, I DO wish I would have waited. Definitely wouldn't trade my kids for the world, but if i could go back in time, i would wait another 5 years or so to have kids. It would have made life SO much easier. I think what Bulley1030 was trying to say was if you are a teen and you are not pregnant yet, just don't get pregnant. Because you don't have to struggle if you just make the right choices. Yes, we can make it work as teen moms even though it's a struggle because we love our kids. But it's much easier and better for your kids to make it work as adult moms that already finished school and established their career.
