I am graduating in January, to accomodate the baby's due date of April 5th. I've had mixed feelings since I've gotten pregnant, struggling with pre-existent family issues, but I've never once have regretted the life my love and I have created. I move out of my mother's house and in with my boyfriend and his parents on my 18th birthday, the 24th of this month, which is also Thanksgiving Day (: We plan on getting a place of our own, and he is looking into the house I lived in as a child, as it is now up for rent! I am very interested in meeting teenagers in a similar situation as mine, regarding pregnancy. And of course, I am looking for advice! I am currently torn between the different methods of birth; all I know is that I do not want an epidural.

Dont stress about your family situation because I can tell you a baby can fix most tension. I barely spoke to my dad before and now we are super close thanks to my lil girl. As for delivery, I went without an epidural, But my labor was only like 1hr so I just dealt with the half an hour of extreme pain. I will say dont bother with the morphine its useless. If your labor is too extensive or painful when you hit 5cm I would recommend geting the epidural because it gets a lot worse after 5cm...

The best advise I ever received was to let the doctor order the epidural.. if you decide that you do not need it, you can let them know and they won't do it. If you change your mind and decide you need one, you may have to wait a while before they can get someone to you. I did not want an epidural but, ended up having to have a c-section so, I didn't have a choice.

My aunt is a Doula and she said that a water birth is the way to go and that it really makes that contractions not as bad. Kudos or the no epidural thing! I don't know if I could do it
