my boy friend has stage 4 prostate cancer , can he still have sex? if not what can we do ?he says he has no sex drive anymore
    az4peaks2 responded:
Hi pegdan, - The common treatment for Stage 4 metastatic Prostate Cancer (PCa) is Hormone Therapy (HT). One of the common side effects of HT is depressed Libido (the DESIRE for sex) and, often, associated impotence (lack of erections).

This varies by individual patient, but should not be misinterpreted as any lack of appeal on your part or a change in his affection for you. Rather it is a chemical change in his body over which he has little, if any, voluntary control.

I would suggest he discuss the problem with his professional advisors. Good luck! - John@newPCa (aka) az4peaks

thank you. is there anything i can do to help him ? he has talked to his dr. they gave him viagra, but we are nervse about useing it. will it be ok to try this? we read the side affects and his doctor said to space it every 5 days. so it made use nervse to try it.
    pegdan54 responded:
if testosterone is a leading factor in spreading the prostate cancer would the use of viagra not increase the amount of testosterone being produced. Does viagra help E.D. by helping the user produce testosterone
    Fairwind replied to pegdan54's response:
Viagra has nothing to do with testosterone..It works by increasing blood flow to the penis..

You are fighting two problems...His ability to have an erection has been all but eliminated but worse, he no longer cares!
