Abiraterone with Predinsone after Keto failure
a1940c posted:
Started this trial at UCSF on May 16th and PSA was 56.3 at the time. Finished my first 4 week cycle on june 12th and PSA was 58.6. My psa growth rate has slowed but has not gone down and doctor said sometimes it will take 2-3 sessions before the Abiraterone shows results.
Has anyone out there been in this trial and what were the results?
It appears that this medication is a good one and would certainly like to see it help me.
Basir U Tareen, MD responded:
Thank you for this post. The natural history at your stage is for the PSA to continue to rise, so this appears to be a good initial response. I don't have any patients on this particular trial, but would be interested to hear how it goes for you. Best of luck.
