Different doctors probably have different standards. And they probably adjust it according to if the PC was higher grade and/or the PSA was very elevated before surgery.

In my case it was the first one was few weeks (6 maybe) after surgery. And then every 6 months for the first couple of years.

In my case the first test showed undetectable PSA. If it was even a small amount them there would more frequent testing.
