Hi wish I would have seen this before...hope you are still watching it...

Yep, I have the kind of psoriasis...I have tried so many treatments...PUVA, soritaine, methotrexate, shots of steriods in my hands and feet, and of course all the creams available...

I started with it when I turned 33 I am now 48...although my hands have cleared up except for on occasion I get a spot here and there, but my feet have never, ever gone into remission...they itch so badly I have to take benedryl every night or I will be up all night scratching....I use temovate cream often and I use really greasy cream every night and during the day as well...

I am over the way it looks....but to tell the honest truth sometimes it hurts really bad...having open sores on the bottoms of my feet when I walk can be really painful.....

Last time I went to the dermatoligist she tried to have the biologic meds approved for me but they have not been tested on our kind of psoriasis....

Have you found anything that worked for you...I would like to know if there is anything new that I have not tried yet...

Hope you see this...

I was alerted that someone posted, Colleen, and read your entry. I am in another remission right now, but could break out at any time, and my feet never really clear because I'm constantly removing the dead skin, which sometimes causes sores. I use a prescription cream on them, and when I don't have open sores bag balm works nicely.
You didn't mention whether you're a smoker. When I used to smoke they said that could cause it. I quit and it cleared up and I was ecstatic. Well, guess what. I've broken out twice since I quit, so for me, that isn't the cause. They just don't know what causes it. I guess it's going to be a cross we have to bear. Let's see if anyone else has ideas.
I just read your post again and I have never had the itching. I hope they can help you with that. I also never tried PUVA, but came close. Thanks.
