Preschoolers: Physical Activity While in Child Care

I work at Seattle Children's Hospital and I wanted to share an insightful post, "Preschoolers: Movers And Shakers ," from our Seattle Mama Doc Blogger, Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson, MBE, FAAP, who discusses a recent study from Pediatrics that highlights the three main barriers to children's physical activity while in child care. This is an important topic, especially since three-fourths of U.S. preschool-age children are in child care centers and spend the majority of their waking hours, after age 3, outside of their home.
