Ok, So if you are like me and cooking pork chops has been more of a hassle then it's worth overcooked and dry or undercook and worry about making someone sick (for some reason I can make Prime Rib with a Thyme Au Jus or Beef Wellington no problem, go figure) you may want to try this out, its so easy and tasted SO good

2 bone in pork chops 2/3 ' thick
1 egg
2 TB milk
Pepper
Italian Bread crumbs
2 TB melted butter

Preheat oven to 425

Pour melted butter into a glass baking dish

Mix the egg, milk and pepper in a shallow bowl large enough to accommodate the size of the chops

Pour the breadcrumbs in a separate equally sized bowl, dredge both sides of the chop in the egg, then the bread crumbs then place in the baking dish that you had placed the melted butter

Cook for 10 minutes, the turn chops over and cook for another 10 minutes

I've tried this before. Instead I used corn flakes. Never liked it. Im going to try it with the italian bread crumbs.

I'm allergic to pork (bummer), but you can do this with chicken as well....I use 'Ritz' crackers for the coating....gives the chicken a nice buttery flavor....maybe it'll work on the pork? Worth a shot anyhow.

Oh, and we don't turn over the chicken...the coating seems to come off of it that way (we start with pre-boiled chicken, so it's already cooked through).

The recipe actually called for crushed stove top stuffing, which I didnt have and really wasent appealing to me anyway, I thought the bread crumbs worked great.

Yeah I was surprised, I thought the coating would come off in the pan when I flipped them over, but that did not happen at all, I think the butter assisted with that and the the butter helped to brown then chops too, I really enjoyed these. Bummer about the Pork
