I started a diet of "no white".
NO white flour,
NO white sugar,
NO cow's milk,
NO white bread,
NO white potatoes,
NO pop
NO candy or cookies

I drink chicken broth, V-8 Juice, Grape Juice, water, Vitawater, teas.
Start adding one egg each morning or a boiled egg at lunch. Often make egg salad sandwich or I add rice at lunch; plain rice with a tblsp of butter. Vegetables like carrots, celery and fruits like apples, blue berries, bananas, applesauce, etc. NO RAW TOMATOES. Dinner is Spanish Rice with rice, hamburger, green pepper, diced canned tomatoes.

I am sure to take a 3/4 cup of grape juice heated in the microwave with Knox Gelatin in it daily. This makes a great deal of difference every day.

My RA has me take Omega 3 D 3.
Its Fish Oil 1000 mg with D 3 10000 IU.
This is two times a day.

I have several prescriptions for pain meds, but the most effective thing for pain has been electro accupuncture. Hot stone therapy is also great. And no side effects

I used this diet after leaving Mayo Clinic several years ago after a shoulder replacement. I read that No White was the way to go. It is still amazing that when I start a major flare-up, I go back to chicken broth (soup usually), V-8 Juice, Knox gelatin, Spanish Rice and egg salad. I do eat dark rye bread. I didn't toss out the white potatoes though; I will have to see if mashed potatoes affect it. And even though a few of my friends thought I was nuts, I said Raw Tomatoes are the worst thing and I love the tomato season and BLT's. Thank you for validating my theory.
