    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

I'm 39 and just went to the Dr. yesterday because of pain in both hands and knees for a long time now. Now I'm waiting for the lab results to come in. My mom died in 2003 from RA attacking her lungs. She had a lung transplant and the lungs didn't reject but she caught MRSA in the hospital and couldn't recover. I remenber the months before her transplant and how much she gasped for oxygen; the pain she was in. I have 3 beautiful daughters and I want to be here to watch them marry and have children of their own. I don't want them to see me in pain and go through the pain of losing a mom too soon. I want to be able to travel one day with my husband. I'm walking around acting positive in front of my family but deep down I'm scared. I'm in school right now to hopefully become an RN, is this still possible? Can I work as an RN with my hands hurting as they do?
