Hi and thank you for posting!

I am so sorry that you are going through this and that the pain is making it impossible for you to work. You have come to the right place for support and advice -- I am sure other community members will weigh in with their personal experiences and what seems to help them.

I found some articles and slideshows that you might find helpful. This first article outlines the best and worst supplements and herbs for RA (consult your doctor before starting on any). Here is one about understanding RA treatments and one on taking an active role in your RA management . You might also want to take a look through our slideshow on foods that help RA .

Do you have a rheumatologist you are working with to come up with a treatment plan to manage your RA? This article outlines how to successfully work with your rheumatologist and might be helpful. Our RA Health Center has many more articles and other resources that could really be of benefit to you.

I hope that you are able to find a treatment plan that works for you, and that you are able to resume work soon!

Best wishes,
Atti

You are not in a good mental or physical space but things will get under control. You must have a specialist rheumatologist as your doctor if you are severe. I have whole body severe RA and it has taken over two years to stabilize me but now things are much better. There is hope but you need to eat well, take your medications and have gentle exercise every day. All the best.
