RA and jaws and ears
An_250520 posted:
I have been having problems with pain and fatigue in my bilateral jaws which I see is not that unusual. However, I am also experiencing a feeling of fullness in my ears and now I'm having tinnitus which is driving me crazy. Loud noise is painful. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem?
mariajohnson responded:
I have heard about the bilateral TMJ surgery with facial grafts. You should consult your doctor and see what he has to say about this.
dominostreet replied to mariajohnson's response:
Thank you

I share in your pain. I am experiencing this right now. I also wondered why my ears felt full as you spoke of. I am in a full blown flare right now. It is absolutely miserable! My rheumatologist has me on orencia injections for my RA. After a while most of the attempts of new medication just quit working for me. I have many health issues, APLS, of course RA, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, a heart condition etc. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired! lol I would love some ideas for how to cope with this daily pain. It is making me sooo depressed. I wish you all my best.
atti_editor replied to rettsblum's response:
Hi rettsblum,

I found these two articles that you might be interested in and that may help you cope with your daily pain. The first addresses how to make physical therapy work for your RA and goes over different types of exercises you might benefit from. This one explains a number of complementary therapies -- like yoga, meditation and massage -- that you might try to help with both your pain and depression.

Best wishes,
dominostreet responded:
I have this problem too. I haven't found others with it, so I'm glad someone can validate it for me. I don't have a solution. Asked the rheum and he looked at me like I'm nuts and said I don't think so.
