I learned that I had rheumatoid arthritis right after I came down with Fifth's Disease (Slapped Cheek). While i had Slapped Cheek disease i hcould not bend my knees without excrutiating pain. (This went away after a few weeks.) Is there a correlation between the two diseases?

    Hi twilightchick74,

You might find this information on Fifth disease and joint pain helpful. Joint pain is common in adults that get parvovirus (what causes Fifth disease) but usually resolves in weeks. Some people do develop more prolonged arthritis that mimics RA.

    Hope this helps!
