I recently read that when one takes methotrexate as many of us do with RA and Sjogrens Syndrome, it can make your levels of folic acid drop in the body which can also lead to mouth sores. Perhaps supplements of folic acid could be helpful.

You need to be taking at least 1 mg of Folic Acid per day but you need a prescription from your Dr. cuz over the counter isnt strong enough. Also there is a drug you can also take for the sjogrens syndrome too. I take it now it is called Salagen and it really works for the dry mouth and dry eyes just be careful it can cause severe sweating depending on how many you take at one time. I hope this info helps.
