Remission doesn't mean you're Cured

I see so many posts of people saying how they feel so much better or are in remission so they have stopped taking medication. This is the WORST thing you can do for yourself. Just because the symptoms have subsided doesn't mean the damage has stopped happening. Some might think that doctors only want you to stay on meds and keep seeing them for the paycheck but in this case it is a necessity. If you have been diagnosed with RA please continue to see your doc and most importantly STAY on your meds no matter how you feel!! This will help keep the damage to your body at a minimum.
