It's been suggested that we leave a space between the start of a post and the triggering part.

Write something innocuous in the first line. then leave some spaces between in and the subject matter. this should take care of accidentally triggering someone.

I hope you'll all join in....

What are your whines, wishes and wins this week?

Here are mine:

Whine: I keep having to relearn the lesson of needing to pace myself. I'm not a dumb woman so why haven't I learned this YET? Hmmmph.

Wish: That this extreme leg pain that's gone on for many months (on top of the Fibromyalgia and gall bladder pain) would just go away already.

Win: Despite the pain and stress and fatigue, today isn't a bad day, my attitude is back to being mellow. AND my best friend just returned from a 3-week trip so yay!

Headline responded:
Caprice, I think pacing yourself is a tough lesson for anyone with Fm. My mom has it and she falls victim to "I'm having a good day so I have to DO EVERYTHING RIGHTNOW because I may never ever ever have another good day ever again as long as I shall live." Also have you seen a specialist about the leg pain (she asked like Caprice asks people)?

Whine: I want to get into my new job right NOW, and get my pay raise right NOW, and get it all on paper and in stone so I can stop panicking and losing sleep and worrying that this isn't actually happening...

Wish: see above...

Win: All of the above is in reference to a promotion I got/am getting/will get next week or so/somethingorother at work! I spoke up for my medical and emotional needs, and it actually worked - they decided they needed to move me to a better-for-me job (which turned out to be better PAYING also) or else they were going to lose me. Yay self-advocacy!
Do you know, in 900 years of time and space, I've never met anyone who wasn't important before. -- The Doctor (as written by Steven Moffat)
ZeldaAlone responded:
Whine: I don't have any help while Lorenzo is at work.

Wish: People could read my mind.

Win: I'm finally reaching out for the help that I need with my mental health. See following post by me...

washedaway responded:
Whine: I don't wanna write yet another post for school tonight...but it's due by midnight (in a little over 2 hours) I really need to

Wish: That they would hurry up and close the building for work tomorrow so I can work from home and not have to worry about driving in the 18 inches of snow we've gotten here in Western WA in the last 12ish hours (about 14 inches in the last 5 hours)

Win: I did my training yesterday and it went very of the trainees even told me she wished I did all of her training (training is a way of life at work right now) because this is the first training in months she's walked out of feeling like she knew what she was doing :D

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. - Charles Schultz
lostkate responded:
Whine: crying a lot, confused, hurting, not sure of myself anymore. I really thought about disappearing last night, not suicidal but just leaving where no one can find me, ever.

Wish: to be at peace with myself.

Win: My old boss started a new company, asked me to be a part of it. I needed the job so I said yes. Not crazy about the work but it pays the bills, thats what counts. I have come so so close to harming myself but I havent in 9 months.
lovesmygizmo responded:

Whine: I really don't feel like making dinner and nothing sounds good.

Wish: I could just go shopping whenever the desire hit me.

Win: Cleaned and did laundry today. It was a productive day. Yay!
auntiec57 responded:
Whine: I need to take better care of myself and quit berating everything I do. I'm 57 years old and should have conquered this thought, but I guess we all need reminders.

Wish: To feel happy on the inside, as well as the outside.

Win: I have not done any self-harm since the end of November 2010, WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!

You had me giggling, Headline... First, you nailed me re the FM and yes, I've seen someone about the leg pain, have been doing physical therapy, etc. I have a disc that is pressing on a nerve in my lower back and it's impacting the leg so walking and standing is very difficult. I promise I'm doing all I can for it and won't let it beat me!

Congrats on your promotion! Especially since it came as a result of you speaking up for yourself! GO HEADLINE!

I'm glad you're reaching out, Zelda.

I remember feeling very isolated when I was a new mom and did it all myself too. (((gentlehugs)))
