i'm grateful for the rain last night. hopefully that helped the fires some. i counted 10 fires here yesterday. lightning was sparking more cuz of the storms. they're canceling the july 4th fireworks this year in my town cuz it is so dry. hopefully we will get more rain.

Off_The_Wall replied to jankearney123's response:
Praying for Colorado and for you both! We were in a horrible drought last summer (we still are in a bit if a drought but not nearly as bad) that caused many fires but for the most part we have a lot less trees here so the fires were easier to contain. But still, plenty of people did lose their homes. Scary situation drought and fires are. Praying y'all get some good rain soon!

Caprice_WebMD_Staff replied to jankearney123's response:
Here it's not fires (for a change), it's flooding. Fortunately, I'm on high ground but homes and property and roads along the swollen rivers are in danger and some have already been lost.

But, even so, it's nothing like what's going on with the fires down there. I really feel for anyone who is in their path.
