Poor Savannah with all her fur. I may have to give her a dunking in cool water in the sink. If I'm hot, I can't imagine how she must feel.

The thunderstorm that was above us just drifted away. It rumbled and thundered and that was it. No rain, no cool wind. Just ... gone.

And it's supposed to be hotter tomorrow. What happened to the escape to the northern coasts???

It's like that here. The clouds and thunder come, but it doesn't rain and we desparately need some rain. I'm going to start doing a rain dance soon.

Its been muggy, mostly cloudy, 85, right now its still muggy and sticky out, 77. Tomorrow we are supposed to get thunderstorms, hopefully with rain, its dry here.

you should be getting colorados monsoons soon. beware of mud slides if you've had any fires nearby or even if there isn't heavy vegetation!

I have laundry to do but I can't haul it down the stairs to the laundry room because of my incision sites

(they're still very delicate, and because I pulled the scabs off, they're draining again). I have mounds of stuff to wash.

My incision sites from the appendectomy are becoming infected... and so is the rest of me. I have great big horse pills of antibiotics to take, but that will take a while to kick in. I see the doc in the morning.

So for now, I'm prescribed rest, relaxation, meds, liquids, and to take it easy.

Easier said than done.
