    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,
    WebMD Message Boards Management

It's been suggested that we leave a space between the start of a post and the triggering part.

Write something innocuous in the first line. then leave some spaces between in and the subject matter. this should take care of accidentally triggering someone.

Mirror work is something I did lots of in therapy. Being dissociated I loose a lot of being grounded like other people. Working in front a mirror forces you SEE you. It really grounds you.

One of the most interesting things my T purposed to me was, "next time you it while looking at yourself in the mirror, not just at what you are doing, look into your eyes."

When that happened it was an odd experience to see "me" injure me. Gave me lots to think about.
I'm not really a psychopath, I just play one on the internet.

Wow. I dissociate as well. Although I only lost one full day last week and the next day was in a fog....

I have avoided mirrors because I do not know who it is in the mirror. Make sense?

But I am willing to try this.

    In Harmony,
I have acheived my dream of being a kyte, for a single day, riding the wind. The anchors that held me down lifted... I was set free.. Now my journey of healing is possible. Gra' Bonnie

I could never answer the question of "who" was injuring me until I did that exercise. I wanted/needed to think all along it was an alter who was the self injurer. Was so shocked to see it was not him but me!

To finally put a face on who was the injurer was powerful and aided in the healing.

You: I have avoided mirrors because I do not know who it is in the mirror. Make sense?

    Very much so.

A famous writer calls them "leaks" they are leaks into other planes of existence.

I'm not really a psychopath, I just play one on the internet.
