    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,
    WebMD Message Boards Management

It's been suggested that we leave a space between the start of a post and the triggering part.

Write something innocuous in the first line. then leave some spaces between in and the subject matter. this should take care of accidentally triggering someone.

Can you call special services transportation association? SSTA... They provide rides for medical, free of charge? Do you have a Case Manager that can work with you?

I'm so sorry that you are dealing with all of this. If I could I would drive there and bring your son to his appointments and help you out.

    Hugs,
    Bonnie

Call the hospital and let them know your transportation situation. I know the hospital here will pay for transportation (I know this because the appointment notices that I receive in the mail talk about free transportation to the hospital). I don't know if all hospitals are like this but if doesn't hurt to ask and see if they have any suggestions.

Does your son have insurance? If so try calling the insurance company and see if they provide rides for appts. My insurance company does so it's worth a shot.
