    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,
    WebMD Message Boards Management

It's been suggested that we leave a space between the start of a post and the triggering part.

Write something innocuous in the first line. then leave some spaces between in and the subject matter. this should take care of accidentally triggering someone.

((((SB)))) It's okay to feel upset when you see something like that and it reminds you of something painful from your past. And I'm so sorry you had to go through that growing up. There are things that remind me of my childhood that just cause me to completely break down too. That doesn't mean in life and in general I'm not still moving forward though. It's just that when something so painful like that has happened to you, you can forgive and you can move on, but you can never forget and so it will always be there in the shadows. Try to be gentle and understanding of yourself. If you saw a little girl (or woman) be treated that way, how would you respond to her? I know you and I know that you would comfort her, you would sooth her, you would be understanding and caring towards her. I hope you will offer yourself the same kind of comfort that you would offer to someone else.

    SB -
I understand your pain. Anything can set it off, but especially something as graphic as you saw this morning. Like OTW says, be as good to yourself as you would that woman. You know we love you here & would do anything we could to reduce your pain. Please be kind to yourself today, because we can't be there to do it for you.
