It's been suggested that we leave a space between the start of a post and the triggering part.

Write something innocuous in the first line. then leave some spaces between in and the subject matter. this should take care of accidentally triggering someone.

Only thing I can think of is to keep your nails short and maybe get some nice cotton gloves to wear to bed. That might reduce the chance of injury. And DEFINITELY speak to your counselor.
Also, maybe, record whatever you remember of your dreams. Even if its just bits and pieces. Keep a pen and paper by your bedside and write as soon as you wake up.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Of course, so does falling down a flight of stairs.

have you talked to your counselor about that? sounds to me like something is really bothering you and affecting you in your sleep. time to find out what that is and beat it.
