Boy I've suddenly developed so much heartburn over the past 2-3 days (at 15 weeks)
Didn't have too much of it so far..

I thought things were supposed to get easier in the second trimester :)

I've heard that TUMS is ok to take during pregnancy, anyone else know?

Hi Annie,

I'm almost positive that I've read that TUMS are OK. I understand what your saying, I had NO heartburn then all of a sudden, starting maybe a week or 2 ago I get heartburn almost everyday, sometimes throughout the day!

I heard heartburn signals a full head of hair! lol

:)

I have heartburn and headaches all day long!! I will take those as opposed to M/S any day!! I take TUMS all time. My midwife told me not to take rolaids.

I've got the same problem and have been taking Tums regularly. My doctor mentioned they are not only good for heartburn but also a calcium supplement. (this was my regular doctor, not my OB but I figure he knows too!)

Hope it gets better!

I just talked to my doctor about it today. He said Zantac every day for the rest of pregnancy is fine. Also, Tums are a calcium supplement so good to take whenever they are needed!! Today is the first day I haven't been miserable in a while. They also suggested sleeping in a recliner or with a block under my side of the mattress to raise it up.

I knew I should have looked up heartburn. I got it recently at work right after drinking an orange juice and I took one rolaid and it helped. I will never take them again. I am going out right now and buy me some tums so I want make the mistake of taken them again. Thanks for the info.

I'm sure you'll be fine Shauntrell!!!! Good luck.

My doc told me Zantac is also good (if TUMS is not strong enough for you)
