Am I too picky?

Is it wrong that I registered at sites but stress to the people that will be attending my shower to purchase gift cards??

I only did it because when I registered for DS #1, I received NOTHING that I actually chose from my registry. I actually had a few people tell me that they didn't like what I picked and got something else instead. WTH??? It's MY baby right??? LOL

I figure that if I ask for gift cards for my registry sites, I can buy exactly what I want and like.

Does this make me too picky???

What a good idea! Gift cards so you can get what YOU want. I understand how you think this might be too much on one hand...but on the other hand, are the same people going to be attending you shower? If so, I would definitely do so! Your starting to scare me about my own shower- I'm not going to be too happy if I get nothing on my list.

This is YOUR baby and YOUR shower!!

Thank you for your vote of confidence, Jenny!! DH and I actually went out this weekend and got ALOT of the items I wanted and wasn't sure would be purchased for me. We also went and got the baby basics like onesies and socks. I remember the day I brought DS #1 home, we only had 6 pairs of socks and 5 onesies!!! I panicked!! Don't want that happening again.

Neat idea and no that doesn't make you picky. I will be really UPSET if I don't get what I ask for. The reason why I say that is because I put nothing but clothes (different sizes), diapers (different sizes), wipes, lotion, baby shampoo, baby wash, socks (different sizes), nursery water, baby food/cereal, bibs, booties, baby powder, and baby detergent. Nothing fancy or expensive, just things I will need alot of and will use for awhile.
