Due date change

Shauntrell posted:
Well I went to the ER on Wednesday because of a pregnancy scare and I thought I was 14 weeks to be exact according to my OB. But once they did the sonogram and measured the head, stomach, legs, arms, and heart, then averaged all the measurements up my due date became 9/17 instead of 9/22. I am currently 15 weeks today according to the sonogram. Has this happen to anyone else? What date should I actually go with. I think I am about 15 weeks, but whose to say exactly.

hi Shauntrell,
Of course, it's difficult for us to tel the exact date of conception.

Once they measure the baby and calculate, that's the best calculation of how far along you are

Also remember that only 10% of babies are born exactly on the due date, that's why they call it "EDD" estimated due date.

Our babies can be born a week before or after the date we have been given

Still a lovely September baby though!!!!! Wish you a happy and healthy 9 months!!
