OCD and birth control

I'm 21 years old and looking for a birth control method that won't exacerbate my OCD. I've had OCD tendencies for years, but once I went on the pill it went into full-fledged OCD and I had to go to therapy, was completely miserable and unbearable to be around.

I've tried two different pills and I haven't become 'normal' again until I got off the pills. I've been off for a year now and am doing great. I want to have safe sex with my bf but I don't want to take any bc that will turn me into a monster again and risk losing him - totally the opposite of its purpose!

I've been looking at the depo shot since it's different hormones than the pill and an iud, but I'm really lost. Help!

Here's a link to an interactive questionnaire that will help you choose the BC method that is best for you:

https://www.plannedparenthood.org/all-access/my-method-26542.htm

Scroll dowh the page and hit the button. The questions asked concern your lifestyle, your constraints, your preferences. Once you've answered all the questions it gives you the BC method(s) that is (are) liable to suit you best.

Hope you find what you're looking for!
There's nothing inherently dirty about sex, but if you try real hard and use your imagination you can overcome that.
