My husband and I have been together for close to 4 years now - we just got married in September. We are infatuated with each other and have a very trusting and nurturing relationship. When we began dating, sex was non-stop and extremely fulfilling; about 1.5-2 years into our relationship, my sex drive seemed to disappear; I became indifferent to sex. This issue has continued and is causing a strain in our relationship - his sex drive is still very active and he feels shut down and hurt when I reject him, whereas I feel resentful and angry that he needs it so much. I guess I just assumed the issue was hormonal and would get better over time, but I haven't noticed any change, and I figured it's time for me to do something before we create a deep rift in our relationship. I have noticed that I tend to become aroused from dreaming and sometimes reading, but rarely at other times. I find my husband very attractive and he makes me feel sexy and beautiful, so insecurity is no issue. I have been on birth control since well before my husband and I began dating and haven't changed the prescription (Aviane/Lutera). Is it possible that my birth control is affecting my libido? I don't take any other medications and I don't have any health issues. I'm healthy, albeit don't exercise like I should, but I eat well. I'm at a loss; advice?
