Men and sex after a heart attack

An_249868 posted:
My husband had a heart attack 2 yrs ago. He has stopped having sex with me. We have talked about it and he says he has no desire.
He is on hormone therapy and it has no effect. I am in a constant state of sadness over the loss of my husband and our once happy sex life.

Is it normal for men to avoid sex? And does the desire ever come back?
