Can taking certain drugs, such as cholesterol-lowering pills, affect a sexual partner, causing reactions such as bladder infections?
    • Yes, it's happened to us personally.
    • Yes, there are drugs I know that can do that.
    • No, it's the other person's own body that causes it.
    • No, it's not the drugs, it's you.
    • Who knows, just practice safe sex.

Bladder infections are caused when bacteria can enter the body through the urethra and travel up into the bladder which is a nice, warm, moist area that allows them to expand in number. End result is a bacterial infection.

    nohard responded:
Hi Statins are a sex killer and from reading about statins and bladder infections there is a big link.
So you can try this, Cayenne Pepper will help clean away the plaque so that will help see .
A mix of garlic and parsley will help lower his cholesterol ... f-parsley/
And more help all very natural
So with some of this ir should get him over his ED problems as well.
    Good Luck
    georgiagail replied to nohard's response:
I wish you'd stop your nonsense about herbs and spices curing such things (and I write this as a registered dietitian). Your cures are often worse than the actual problem.

Not only do statins NOT cause bladder infections, here's some actual research that indicates they may help alleviate them, at least in older men:

    nohard replied to georgiagail's response:
Hi Gail if you think there worst just follow them then come back and say so, but only after you follow them through.
If there so bad how comes they got me out of ED and back to a happy sex life.
    Yes there really bad.
Look we all have our beliefs, but the idea of this forum is to put forward our ideas, its up to ever reads them and if they can follow up any info they get.
But you also forget just were all your drugs come from, if your that knowledgeable, then you do know the answer, or do you want me to spell it all out.
So what's your answer for help then?
    fcl replied to nohard's response:
I'm just curious - have you personally tested ALL of the remedies you recommend?
There's nothing inherently dirty about sex, but if you try real hard and use your imagination you can overcome that.
    nohard replied to georgiagail's response:
Hi Gail here is some stuff you should read, the reason I said that UTIs are common this was from forums of people who had them, but if you think that statins are good for the carry on with you life, but I would give these links a good read, then perhaps your rethink things over.
Now all the links I have put do work for people with high cholesterol, but if you look at the figures of how much drug company's make from statins, that once you put on them, your on them for life drug, the thing is they donr actually fix the problem, people still have high cholesterol?
This one go down and read the letters, statins are really good for you, I don't think. tract infection xl/uti
    Good Luck
    nohard replied to fcl's response:
Hi And yes I do take herbs daily, which includes cayenne pepper and garlic and parsley, its all for ED and keeps it at bay, a lot better than Viagra, with that you need to take when you think you may be having sex, with what I take I'm ready anytime.
Now if I was your husband which would you prefer?
    billnjenn replied to nohard's response:
I tried to be reasonable with nohard and his herb stuff, he won't listen, he gives links to a site that sells products. Maybe he gets a cut or even owns the site.

I am all for homeopathic cures when there is any reasonable belief of it being effective. But to suggest such things as a snake oil cure for everything, even when they have been tested and had no more effect than placebo is irresponsible and possibly dangerous.

I hope you have more luck with him. And more importantly that others take his advice with more than a grain of salt and a great deal of care. A few people on a web site claiming cures are often just the person selling the product trying to make you buy it.
    fcl replied to nohard's response:
I'd rather have the husband I have, thank you.
There's nothing inherently dirty about sex, but if you try real hard and use your imagination you can overcome that.
    nohard replied to billnjenn's response:
So who are you today Bill or Genn, but who cares.
Right for one I have never ever sent anybody to a site that sells herbs that I know of.
Your the only one who goes on about snake oils.
Things anybody puts forward is only a suggestion, I don't think I have ever said take this or that its only ever been a suggestion.
But then without herbs, spices, roots, tree bark, flower or weeds, there drugs you take today would not exist, and even today the ones they know about are now being further tested to see what has been missed from them.
Seems you need to be re-educated about life, and not life as you see it.
    Please get a life.
    billnjenn replied to nohard's response:
    Who is Genn?

As with most of what you post

",But then without herbs, spices, roots, tree bark, flower or weeds, there drugs you take today would not exist"

Is not even close to accurate and even to the extent there is some truth in it, it is an oversimplification. But I am starting to understand that about you.

As for the education, there is a difference between information and gullible and naive people giving a testimonial. I will stick with people that actually have spent a lifetime getting degrees and doing double blind studies over those claiming snake oil cured their gout, ed, insomnia, blindness, and every other ailment.

As I said, if you found something your mind has convinced you works for you, enjoy the placebo effect for as long as it lasts. Placebos have thousands of cures to their credit. You are in good company.

    nohard replied to billnjenn's response:
    So Bill or Genn.
Just got it, your just a sore snake oil salesman who's failed, what run out of Indians to sell to.
Must be hard back there in the woods, with you pot boiling. just need some suckers.
    Good Luck
    dfromspencer replied to nohard's response:
Sorry Billy, and Jenny, but I have to go with Nowhard on this; weeds, and herbs, and even tree bark is used to make medicines we use today!!!

Where do you think opium comes from, how do we get pain relief from it, for your information, I take morpine tablets that have opium in them. Oh my Gawd, I had better make them make the pills with only chemicals like BillnJenn want?!!! Nope, the whole thing is based on the opium that come from Poppy plants! The aspirin you take, may be made from a tree bark? Willow, I do believe? Nowhard would know better than I?! But you see? You can't be that dumb, right? Yes, we do use outdoor things to make our drugs, along with (probably harmful) chemicals!!

    Get over yourself, already!!!

    nohard responded:
Hi Here's something that should help lower his cholesterol, and high blood pressure if he has it, its The Dash Diet, just google it, you find more info that way, if he does this he then should be able to give up the statins he's on.
But the diet would need to become away of life.
Also have a look at the links for the spacedoc, there very interesting.
    Good Luck
