That old black dog of depression has been knocking me down of late; hence, the "boat ride" today. Was a nice little distraction. It does help to keep a gratitude list, too.

It's almost like I'm afraid to think I may have a different future...a different way of living, not just exisiting/surviving. I still get overwhelmed with just trying to do everything myself - house, job, bills, food, cleaning, pets, exercise, etc. The list seems endless. How do people DO all of it and not be overwhelmed?

Sometimes I feel so very lonely, and then other times I'm grateful I don't have to deal with another person around me or the thought of an intimate relationship. Not sure I could ever handle that anyway.

Just sharing some random thoughts tonight. Thanks for listening.

Actually got off my bum and mowed the front yard today. It was close to dark, and I ended up finishing it in the dark, but it's bound to look better than it did. It was thick and I practically had to go over it twice. Just have a push mower, so killed my bck and wore me out, but I survived. The back yard is bigger, and I will have to do it in stages after I pick up a bazillion sticks first. Too many trees out there.

Now to find the money to get my very old mower to the shop before they get busy and get it ready for another season. I think the blade must be bent, because it wasn't mulching properly today, which was why it was taking so long.

    bluerose90 replied to tnmist's response:
Oh, I hate push mowing! I can imagine that you're worn out from all of that especially if the blade is bent. I didn't do very much this weekend myself. I wasn't very motivated. I just did some chores around the house and I worked on one of my knit projects; which I finished tonight. Maybe I'll be able to get more accomplished tomorrow.

I hope you get plenty of rest and take it easy on your back.

    tnmist replied to bluerose90's response:
Thank you. I enjoy mowing, but not as much with the old mower. I go until I totally wear myself out, but it feels good. I'm middle-aged and overweight, but I figure if it doesn't give me a heart attack it's good for me.

I have Tuesday off and need to get a few things done. I hope I can follow through...
