Chronic Herpes Two Is Ruining My LIfe

I have had herpes type 2 for years. I have to go on Acyclovir for months at a time. Three years ago I had a massive allergic reaction to medication and had hives for weeks. Now, if I do not take Acyclovir all of the time, herpes lives along the nerves where the hives were originally went. I had a mastectomy ten years ago and this is where all of the hives and herpes seems to want to travel. I also have swollen lymph glands in my groin and and from time to time they get infected. Over the last year, my thighs have started to ache when this groin thing flares up. After having food poisoning last week, my thighs are killing me. Seems my body was weakened and, perhaps, the herpes moved into another weaken spot. My frustration level is very high and I am feeling like there is no way to have this resolved. My doctor is only somewhat responsive and if I go in and tell him what I think it is he gets testy.

Is there anything I should do besides taking the acyclovir and lysine?

There seems to be a lot going on here. I think it is time to find a new Doc. Get your Doc to increase your Acyclovir dosage to see if that helps
