HPV that is not a STD

OK this is going to be difficult but I am asking you to imagine two people who are actually manogomous. 15 years the obgyn finds an internal wart removes it and tests it, He says it is hpv. papsmears are done regularly for the next 15 years all negitive. I knew I didnt do anything and I knew my wife well enough to know she did not do anything either ( I said this was not going to be easy in this day and age), so how else can the hpv wart appear. I should mention that at the time I was a maintenance worker at a large international airport and routinely had to work on sewage ejecter pumps and triturators (the last place all the effluent from the bathrooms ends up before being pumped out to sewage treatment stations. Cotton golves were the extent of our personal protection equipment. Also water proof boots were used when sewage rose abouve our ankles. Thats the closest I have come to another person and my wife has never even unclogged a bowl. So if anyone out there can help shed some light on an otherwise un-tarnished 24 year marriege please do so. I would like to give my wife some peace of mine for our 25th anniversary. thanks in advance for your posts
