I can't get straight answers!

I have been dealing with this for 10 years and I can't get a thorough answer. Back in 2003 I tested positive for HSV 1 and 2. I do not recall the exact numbers, but the Doc said that I must be in the midst of an outbreak. Nothing was going on, no symptoms or discomfort. I stopped having sex then. Over the next 10 years, I have had 3 retests. One standard and 2 Igg. All them showing negative for both. So I don't know what is what. I could possibly explain the first test as a false positive, but I do have a different set of symptoms. Almost all the time, I do have some physical discomfort. Occaisionally I have a burning in my urethra. I have twice tested negative for syphillis and gonnoreaha. I also have been treated as if I was positive. I do have discomfort on my penis. Also at the base of the penis in the hair, kind of prickly. These are not psych issues. I am tired of not having sex and want to finally get solid answers so I can relax. One way or the other. I appreciate your help.
