I went without having sex for two years. I got married contracted herpes simplex II from my husband. He contracted this std in 2004. We were not married til 2007. Started dating in 2006. I got very sick and continued to get sick for awhile. I lost my job due to being hospitalized. I have had several female issues in my life. For example had surgery in 06 to have tissue removed from ovaries. My doctor also made a mistake when i suspected he had given me the std and i went to get checked. They accidently hit wrong key in computer to contact patient with negative results. When i switched over to the nurse practioner from the ob/gyn i was told of the mess up. My husband has srong ties to the community. I have been trying to get divorced since 2009. I not only am unemployed and have been since sept 09. My immune system is not the best because of being untreated for so long. I have MRSA and am also a single mother. The judges and lawyers where i am from have not given me any relief. We had two vehicles, a house and I thought my dream life. I have tried to put in my divorce decree to get help with medication and health insurance. The motion was denied to even have it amended in counter complaint. Is there not any resources or help available to women in domestic abuse situations because he also physically abused me, to make people like him at least help with medication. I would love to just find someone to give my a clue where to report he knowingly gave me a std and hid it from me. Due to this my life has been progressively become unmanageable. It has took a hard hit on my daughter also. I am asking for someone to give a crap and please help me

HSV is not like HIV. In some states it is illegal to knowingly engage in unprotected intercourse without informing ones partner that they are HIV positive.

The same is not true with HSV which is why you have no legal outlet to punish your husband for withholding this information from you.
