You should go for full STD testing (including herpes and HIV). Blood testing requires 3 months from your last encounter to be accurate. Condoms are not 100% effective especially with STD's like HPV or Herpes, as these require skin-to-skin transmission and the condom does not cover the entire genital area where these STD's can reside.
