Genital Herpes

Hi there I have Genital Herpes and I found out back in February. I was so scared the first month thinking how do I tell my mom because were really close, who is ever going to want to date me, will I ever feel comfortable to have sex again scared I will give it to someone else, I hope I don't pass it on to my kids if I have any, and will I have out breaks all the time. It was so over whelming and I'm a lot better now then I was back in February. That's because I went on here talked to some great people that helped me with info and tips and made me feel better that it is not the end of the world and I'm not alone in this so thank you for that.

So now the reason I'm back is to see if anyone has heard of these two different drugs and has or knows someone that has been taking them and if they work. Somoxal suppose to eliminate the virus for up to 3 years. The other one is called Quickclear suppose to eliminate the virus also. On the site people that have taken it said they took a blood test and the virus was gone and the drug did in fact eliminate the virus. So if someone can shed some light on this for me that would be great thank you and you all have a wonderful day.

Move on with your life. Avoid sex if you have an ob and take a suppressive therapy. Being a gal the risk is lower and if you do those two things and make sure that when you have sex that you are well lubed the risk is about 2% of passing it on to a partner. Could it happen yes it could but there are lots of discordan couples. That is where one hass it and the other does not. Just make sure that you tell a partner and get educated and know the facts so if you have to teell a partenr then you can give them the facts.

If precautions are taken then the risk during pregnacy is very low of transmission.
God Bless You.

What are some suppression therapy because right now all I take is a vitamin called L-Lysine. I have not had an out break in about 2 months which is long time for me since Feb. I use to get out breaks 2 times a month then now its once a month. Now can you do suppression therapy while pregnant?

Talk to your OB as they should allow you to take something for each ob that you get as you get them.

I would recommend that you ask for Valacyclovir which is the generic of Valtrex. Your OB should allow you to use this for each and every ob that you have. Make sure that you have some ruddy to take as soon as you feel an ob coming on and then in your last month the OB should put you on suppressive therapy so you will not have ob at the time of delivery.

God Bless you with this new child.

Try Acyclovir as it is really inexpesive the only thing is that you have to take it twice a day at about the same time for best results.Try Acyclovir as it is really inexpesive the only thing is that you have to take it twice a day at about the same time for best results.

I do have a ques I have not had sex since i found out i have type 2 herpes and i have notice a white dot on my gum in my mouth and in the back of my throat. So my ques is can the virus travel threw my body and give me type 1 oral herpes?

abe648 replied to plycsh7's response:
Herpes does not travel in the body. The virus located in the genital area is a virus that only stays in the nerves that handle the genital area which is anything in the genital area which is from the waist to upper portion of the thigh and since it is in the nerve endings it does not get into the blood supply so that is why one who has herpes can still donate/sell blood to the blood bank.

What you are seeing in your mouth is most likely not genital herpes and most likely not oral herpes. A good portion of the time anything inside the mouth is usually a canker sore or something else. I do know that you can get HSV in the throat usually from giving oral sex I believe from what I have read on here but that is not to common. If you are concerned about this be seen and have the area swabbed/cultured/typed to confirm what it is.

Most HSV 1 or oral herpes is located on the lip. I hope that helps you.
