Have been taking Valtrex & Zovirax since May (Valtrex 500 Twice a day in May then switched to Zovirax 400 twice daily Jun to this date)
There is stomach upset (not exactly pain) few time a day starting a month ago. Stopped medication and the stomach upset went away. However the rash then comes back. Took Zovirax 400 again for 5 days rash subsided but stomach upset returns. What should be done?.

Are you taking Acyclovir when you say you have an upset stomach? Check on the Drug section at the top of the board and locate Zorviax and see if it is the same as Acyclovir?

if it is then it should not be bothering you as Acyclovir and Valtrax the generic is Valacyclovir is derived fffrom the same drug the only dirference is how your body makes the Valtrex change in your body so you only have to take it onee a day.

If you are still having problems then perhaps you should see your Doc as you might have a very sensitive stomach.
