2 hpv tests show different results

I was just tested positive for a low-risk strain of HPV. I had the same test 3 years ago and it was normal. My husband has been sexual with someone else for the last six months. Is it possible that I had HPV before 2009 (when I was young I had genital warts once) and that
it didn't show up in the first test or is the only likely scenario that I got
it from my husband in this last time period, My doctor seems to think
an old infection would have shown up in 2009
