    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

I received oral sex from a guy about 5 days ago. After we had finished up I noticed a discolouration on his lip. I asked him if he gets cold sores and he relied that he did, but he was on medication for 4 days and his Dr. has given him a clean bill of health and he is no longer infectious.
I have read articles claiming this statement to be both true and false.
Does anyone have any definitive information regarding this and what the likelihood is that I contracted genital herpes from this guy?
This guys swears he is not contagious and his previous partner of 19 years never contracted herpes from him.
I have a odd sensation in my penis that is neither burning or tingling nor do I have any blisters or any other symptoms.

HSV 1 orally can be transmitted from and active cold sore and or through shedding. I would refer you to my signature line to read about this in the Herpes Handbook to learn more.
Read more in the Herpes Handbook. Watch the Herpes Video and Terri Warren's book The Good News about the Bad News. All located under the heading Herpes at http://www.westoverheights.com/
