    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Ok i got tested for chlamydia last month through urine test for ghonneria and chlamydia. I was tested negative but he was positive. He told me that he never had chlamydia until he had unprotected sex with me. Is it possible that i have chlamydia anally and if i did have it anally would it show through my urine test for chlamydia?

If this bacteria resided in your rectum, a urine sample would not pick it up.

Is there a way to test for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea in the rectum? I have no results as to the possible testing of such and treatment for the anal cavity for these two STIs.

Testing would be done by taking sample swabs in the rectal cavity for testing of either or both of these STDs.
