    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

I have been living with the herpes virus since I was 18 I am now in my 40"s I went years without having a outbreak and in the last year maybe year 1/2 my outbreaks are starting back I know that stress is one of the main causes for them to recurred Question is does a lot of back pain come with the outbreaks?? I have trouble with my back but I notice right before a outbreak my back hurts something terrible..

I do know that some people get thigh pain and so if the pain is in the boxer short area then it may be from your herpes. The boxer short area is any where from the waist to where a pair of boxer shorts would cover on the leg.

I knew that you were a woman. The reason I talked about boxer shorts is because that is the area where those who have GH usually get problems in what we call the boxer shorts area. That also is the area where sheding occurs. as well. if you are looking for Doctors who are in your area who specialize in herrpes then click on this page and see if there is one in your area that you can go and see to help you more.

If the back pain is below your waste then it might be letting you know that you are about to get a herpes ob but it could be other things. Gals can have a lot of other things as well.. Are you on some type of supressive therapy or are you treating each ob as they occur. If you are not on supressive therapy then you might want to consider starting on suppressive therapy to cut down the problems you have with herpes.
