Dear Doctor,

6 month back wife got her first genital out break & that time doctor said its Herpes without any Blood test. Just last week she got her 2 out break this time we go for HSV-2 Test for both husband & Wife. But doctor says its a fungal infection & you get it from your Husband. But i had never faced any problem or infection in Genital area, some time after sex with my wife itching start but if i wash my penis with soap itching stop.

Test report of Husband -:
IGg@0.32,IGm@0.20
Test Report of Wife -:
IGg@0.05,IGm@27

kindly suggest she is infected from HSV 2 or 1, And why out break comes again & again.

I am not a medical professional.

Husband -:
IGg@0.32 , This is negateive for HSV 2

Test Report of Wife -:
IGg@0.05 , This is negative for HSV 2

Ignore the IgM tests as they are not accurate to test for HSV 2.

PS. This would be negative for HSV 2 for both of you provided that your Doc was testing both of you for HSV 2.
