    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? HPV immunosuppressants and oral cancer
    Jenny818 posted:
I was diagnosed with high risk HPV that was pre-cancerous. I had the procedure and have had normal paps since then (about 5 years). The problem that my boyfriend (who was my boyfriend at the time, but not the source of the infection has an autoimmune disorder and around that time was taking immunosuppressants, so I am now terrified, based on recent news, that he will be at high risk. I was healthy with a robut immune system and I didn't just fight it off. Is there anything we can do to test for the virus? Will he be able to fight off the virus even though taking immunosuppressants?

I see that your question has not been answered and I do not know your answer and so I think it has been on the exchange for awhile and so I would recommend that you seek the advice of a Doctor to answer your questions and it would be good if both of you can go see a Doctor together to get all your questions answered.
God Bless you as you look for answers.
