I read somewhere a while back that if someone has HSV2 then they are protected against getting HSV1, but if you have HSV1 then you can still get HSV2.... Has anyone else heard this before? Is there literature to support it that you know of? Thank you!!

What you heard was untrue in terms of having HSV2 protecting you against HSV1. These are two different viruses and having one does not protect you against getting the other.
