Can you get the numeric test results from both Doc's and post them on here so someone can confirm what your true status is.

It is possible for you to have HSV 2 and your spouse/partner not have it even after 25 years.

Ok so if you were both virgins then you should not have HSV 2 if both of you have been faithful to each other. Once you get the numeric results someone can help yhou confirm your status. How long have these issues been going on that you saw your Gyn for.

Has your partner had a type specific IgG blood test for HSV 1 & 2? Iff not it would be a good idea for him to get tested as well to see what his status is. Get the numeric test results for him as well and post them on here to help confirm his status.

So when the Gyn took the swab and said it was HSV did the Gyn type the swab tp confirm which type of HSV you have? If not then it is possible that you may have HSV 1 genitally farom oral sex if you amd your partner do have oral sex. If the Gyn just said that you have Herpes then odds are it was not typed to see if it was HSV 1 or 2 genitally. If she did type it and said that you have HSV 2 tjhen a swab is more accurate than a blood test. That is all I can think of. But see if you can get a copy of the tests.

Then get the numeric values for all the tests to see what the numbers are so someone can confirm if it is or is not herpes.
