    HSV1 Postive-Need Advice

Nope this isn't a scared, paranoid, teenage kid checking his genitals every hour. No I'm not blood work for HSV1 came back positive. The days of sexual deviance, messing around, uncovered bjs, all have come to an abrupt end. Now I'll never get to work in porn But seriously, as I down a beer...and Im thinking about getting another one...i'm depressed. I really don't know what to think about myself anymore. I dont need a pat on the back, but what I do need is answers. Now that I can't randomly screw females(Im a guy) anymore, Im in my mid 20's, I have to be more selective with who I spend my time with. My question to anyone who's hsv1 positive with a non-hsv1 partner, how do you tell them?? Do you tell them before anything gets physical? Before marriage? Before kids? Im new to this and I just don't want to ruin anybodies life. Also who did you confide in, trust, who did you first tell?

Have you had an actual outbreak?

Keep in mind that the majority of adults carry HSV1, typically limited to oral cold sores and having picked this virus up in childhood. For most adults outbreaks are quite rare.

THATS WHATS SO FREAKIN WEIRD!!! If it was HSV2....well I have been with...around 40 or so partners so it would make sense.

My guess is my HSV1 is in the genitalia area. I don't know how to tell the truth any other way so forgive how blunt I may be. About 3 weeks ago I visited a "friend" for some temporary fun. She gave me "oral copulation" until completion. Didn't think anything of it, until I got home. I went to sleep, woke up and found my new "best friend" around the shaft of my penis. I had an idea right then and there but then over the next 3 weeks things got interesting. I grew a large bump on my inner thigh. I thought this bump was a hair bump, so I tried to pop it. And I mean I gave maximum effort and that thing wouldn't burst. When I felt it, I noticed how deep the bump went past the surface of my skin. So I took drastic actions and burst it with a needle. Usually when I burst a hair bump, white like puss with blood flows out, but this time it was ALL BLOOD!! Then at work I started experiencing slight difficulties in breathing and chest tightness. I've also woken up then and now to unusual back pain.

Here's where it gets really interesting, I also have a itchy rash on my inner thighs. It's been there since early this year. I've dismissed it as jock itch because I wear brief underwear and I workout a lot. But as I have this positive diagnosis it makes me wonder if I've had this since sometime early this year or last year. I saw a doctor about the rash but he dismissed it for being something else. I also got a blood test done that day(not for herpes) and it came back negative. BUT they didn't test me for herpes....hope this more than answers your question and gives a bit of background.

If you popped it and blood came out it does not soumd like herpes . Herpes usually gets apoket filled with watery fluid and then bursts amd drains amd heals and does not have blood in it . Go and get at type specifi IGg blood test for HSV 1 & 2 ask for a copy of the numeric test results and post them on here so somoen can confirm your status.

I got my test from a health group that uses CAPTIA serology test to detect herpes. They it's 98% accurate and it detected a abnormal Herpes 1 result. I will get the other test to determine if it's oral or genital. But I can tell you right now, I've never had a cold sore in my life, neither has any of my immediate family.
