hi,
my sister has vw and she is a carrier. she got the hpv virus from her husband and has had a lot of issues having this. it could of came from you or your wife being in contact with someone else that has it. i hope you get this resolved with one another because it has put a strain on my sister. she will always have to have protected intercourse from now on unless she finds a man that truly loves her and dont care if he gets it!! good luck to the both of you..

you can get hsv 1 down there.. if your partner has 1 and you have oral sex while having the sore you will get it there also, right?

yes you can contract hsv1 genitally.
Talking about std testing is NORMAL and something we all should be doing EVERY TIME before we have sex with a new partner :)

How did she find out she was a carrier, and how long has she had these.. Did her husband cheat or did she or was this somthing from younger days and how long ago. Yes, it does cause a strain. My marriage is so different now. Just trying to decide whether it's worth staying or leaving. Don't know what will happen if I come up with hpv. So far all is clear.

I have many questions on Herpes. I recently found out that my Granddaughter was dianosed. What I want to know is how long does it take for an outbreak to occur after exposure?

mtjim135, you can have herpes for years and never have a breakout. If you don't get tested, then you wouldnt know..Doesnt mean she cheated

Terri, I am 31 years old and I was just diagnosed with hsv. My physician said that I tested positive for both hGg and hGm test. My physician says that this means that I probably contracted the virus 3-6 months ago because the two tests overlap. Is this correct?
Also, My husband of 4 years swears that he hasn't cheated on me. Is it possible that it took me 4 years to contract something that he already had?

Hi, I have been very sad lately cause of a recent breakup, but i guess with time i will eventually get over it. But my thing is that i have genital herpes and i have had it for over 9yrs of my life. The man that i had been in a relationship with had it and didnt tell me until after we had already been together for sometime and we had move in together also. I was very very hurt and wanted to hurt him just as much as he had hurt me on that day. I wanted to commited sucide because i felt nasty and unclean and didnt think no one else would want me if they would to find out but i had to thing about my children first. Now this person is in another relationship and i know that he have not told this other person about his situation. I feel like i need to do something before it goes to far, i just dont understand people who would do that to someone else.

Did you ever solve this? I am 43, have never been with anyone other than my husband. He is testing negative, I am positive. How is this possible?

I just viewed your comment. Were you talking about hpv or herpies. So what had you just gone through with your husband. How long have you been married

I am a 40 year old AA and I have just been diagnosed with genital herpes 1 week ago. I am yet to discuss this with my husband because he may flip out! I mean I'm not sure of when I contracted this disease. I'm not sure if he gave it to me or I could have given it to him. We have been married for 7 years and I have not been unfaithful however my husband has had several affairs and for whatever reason(call me crazy) I forgave him. the thing is he's not rational in thinking. how long can you have this disease. i have had a child and never had an outbreak like this. reading all the info...i now realize that every month around my menustration i would get irratation in my area. could i have had herpes all this time and treated it like a yeast infection. i really want to tell my husband but i'm afraid. he needs to be tested but i know he won't go to the doctor for this.what do i do?
