    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Hello my name is Crystal n I'm 26yrs old. I find out next Friday if I have genital herpes..The doctor is very sure it is and I'm scared:( I have lots of questions like: i have 4 kids and like all mothers I share drinks n food n kisses w/my kids..could any of those things spread it to them?
    abe648 replied to ashamed26's response:
Genital herpes can only be spread by genital to genital contact.

You can still hug kiss and love your kids like always.

To learn more read the Herpes Handbook which should be in the Resourses section on the left hand side of the page.

If you do have herpes and wand to get a good book then get Terri Warrens book the "Good News about the Bad News" If your local book store does not have it then you can get it from $15-17.
Life can go on with Genital Herpes. If you are alone then there is someone who will love and accept you even with Genital Herpes. :-)-
