I have had herpes for over 30 years my first year I had 5 out breaks a month or more. then for about18 years one every 5 weeks, a past bf gave me oral herpes as well so now I have both HSV 1 and 2. once I got HSV 1 my HSV 2 OB went wild. I currently have 5 different OB working One on the crack of my butt, one on my anus, one between my anus and vagina, one at the vaginal opening and one at the top of the vagina.

It has been getting worse and worse over the past 5 years, at first i got one a week, and now its about one every 3 days or mre. I did everything, i eat no chocolate, no caffeine, take vit C lysine, garlic, tons of it, milk thistle, apple cider vinegar, everything...nothing , NOTHING helps I am in constant pain, as I sit here now my crack oon my butt and vagina are in pain with blisters and open sores...I once read a blogger say Herpes is "just a virus"..LOL yea I would welcome an out break 3-4 times a year. I have counted and have had over 2000 out breaks in my 30 years of this ..THIS is NOT JUST A VURUS..its life changing and devistating I just want to die...

have you done any follow up testing at all to confirm genital herpes in the past 30 years? Just asking since testing back then wasn't very good. Did you even have testing originally or just a visual diagnosis of herpes?

your symptoms now aren't likely to be herpes related at all!!! Recurrences on multiple areas like that aren't likely at all. Be seen by a dermatologist for a proper work up to get to the bottom of it all.

fyi - lysine, garlic, vinegar and milk thistle have no effect on herpes so supplementing with them isn't worthwhile. Also avoiding caffeine and chocolate aren't going to help either. The lysine/arginine theory of herpes was disproven over 20 years ago and no real dietary links at all either for herpes.
Talking about std testing is NORMAL and something we all should be doing EVERY TIME before we have sex with a new partner :)
