Does Viagra work for females?

I'm a 50-something female past menopause but still very very active sexually. I've been having a harder time reaching orgasm for a while now both during sex and with my vibrator. The problem seems to be my clitoris doesn't "come out" or get as erect as it used to. I have very fleshy labia and a large hood so it's a search to find it and difficult to keep it once I do.

I read where women are using Viagra. I also see some of the generic Viagra companies in India are marketing a "female Viagra" but in doing research I find out it's all the same. Anyway they say in their ads that Viagra increases the blood flow to the clitoris and inner labia resulting in more intense sensations. They also claim the vaginal tissues engorge more and produce more lubrication - something I would also like to have more of.

My husband gets Viagra, but before I try it I wanted to ask if any females reading this have tried it and what the result was.

Thanks!
